Before you leave this blog, you should know: Jesus loves you – yes, you!
No, I don’t mean to beat you over the head with a stick; but, friend, you have a chance to get to know this Jesus. Yes, I know you’ve heard the theories – or maybe you haven’t at all. I do not claim to have all the answers to your questions. But, I believe what the Bible says is true. God gave His Son to die for you, for me. That Son – Jesus – is still an Advocate today, for you and for me, before God.
Yes, He is alive! And He can change your heart, your life even. He can give you a new heart. He is the meaning of life and only He can give you that truly fulfilling life you seek. Otherwise, this is all vanity – the waking up every morning or night to go to a job you probably hate, or making millions of dollars and being able to afford everything your heart ever desires – it is all a waste if you do not have Jesus in your life. Truth is, in the end, what people think of you will change with how they feel, what they see, what they hear. You’ve been there, you’ve made new friends and kicked some people out of your life because of what you thought of them.
Friend, Jesus wants to be in your life forever. And He wants you in His! So, I invite you to take this bold step and ask Him to come into your heart. Ask Him to give you a new heart, make you a new person. Ask Him to be your Lord, your Guide, your Counselor, your King. If you don’t know where to begin, you can say the following prayer:
Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I recognize that I am not perfect, that I am a sinner. I recognize that You have the power to give me a new heart and a new life. I acknowledge that You died for me and that You have prepared a place for me in Heaven, where the Father is. I confess my sins to You today and I repent of them all. Lord, please take away my stony heart and give a new heart. I believe in You, Jesus. I trust You and proclaim Your salvation today. I receive You today into my heart. I declare and confess that, from this day forward, You are my Lord and my Savior. Thank You for saving me, Jesus. Amen!
If you prayed this prayer, welcome home! I celebrate you for making this life-changing decision. I will be praying for you as well so that you may receive His power to be a witness in your home, in your city, in your state, in your country.
