Day 7: The Lord is my light

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 27:1

I wanted to share this verse today as it is one of my favorite passages to read. It is a reminder whenever I am afraid, undecided, weak, and more. God is my light, and He is my strength. Amen.

Day 6: What’s on your mind?

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise—dwell on these things.

Philippians 4:8

Day 5: Rest in the Lord

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him…

Ps 37:7

It is difficult to enjoy the rest that God daily provides us when we become preoccupied with worrying, complaining, judging others, and the like. I encourage you to rest in the Lord today. Amen.

Much love.

Day 4: A Grateful Heart

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Gratefulness is one of the best ways to achieve a merry heart and, as we well know, a merry heart does wonders (Proverbs 17:22). In a day and time when complaining has almost become second nature, we must remember to give thanks even for the little things.

Much love.

Day 3: The Good

for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Philippians 2:13

There are many nice people in the world today. That is a good thing. However, many times, people are nice because they expect something in return or because they need to look good. This is only human nature. Continue reading Day 3: The Good

Day 2: Burnout

My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalms‬ ‭73‬:‭26‬

In our fast-paced culture it is easy to experience burnout, especially when you are giving your best and are not getting the desired outcomes. Thinking of this brings to mind a familiar passage:

Day 1: Quench Your Thirst

Two nights ago, I stumbled across some notes I took a few years ago while trying to follow a 21-day challenge by Pastor Kerry Shook. The first of the reference verses jumped at me as I read. My God. I had seen and read this verse many times before but it just became so real to me in a different way than I had always thought about it.

Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again.

John 4:13
